My friend, have you ever noticed something strange? The body may be completely silent, yet the mind continues talking about sex. The body may have no desire, no need, no urgency, but the mind is busy creating fantasies, remembering yesterday, imagining tomorrow. What is happening?
Sex is natural. It is part of your biology, just as hunger and sleep are. But the mind does not remain satisfied with nature. It collects experiences, creates fantasies, repeats memories, and begins to live in imagination. The actual experience may last a few moments, but the mind can continue playing with its idea for hours.
And then society adds another complication. It tells you that sex is dirty, yet surrounds you with sexual suggestions. It creates guilt with one hand and temptation with the other. Naturally, the mind becomes divided.
But please, do not begin a war against your thoughts. Whatever you fight, you give importance to. Instead, watch them. When a sexual thought arises, observe it without condemnation and without immediately following it. Let it come; let it go.
Remember, a thought is not a command, and a fantasy is not your identity. You are the awareness in which these movements appear.
Freedom does not come from forcing the mind to become pure. It begins when you understand its games and no longer need to be controlled by them.
